KwikLink is an
Internet services company offering Internet connections and providing hosting
services to customers. The job of designing, deploying, and maintaining this
system is the responsibility of the Liberated Networks technical team.
The system features several components including customer tracking, billing
components, server administration, and network infrastructure.
The KwikLink billing
mechanism is a web-based system that collects usage information
in real-time for later billing while providing clients access to that information.
This system is also used for billing of the customers through various methods including batch credit
card transactions, direct withdrawal from bank accounts, etc.
Along with the billing
mechanisms, server management and administration is also an important
part of their solution. This process involves the management of multiple
unix-based and Windows-based servers designed to offer a comprehensive
set of services both for KwikLink itself and for its customers. These
services include: Web Services (basic websites and secure sites for e-commerce),
mail systems, Domain Name Services (DNS), etc.
Another part of Liberated
Networks’ tasks is to administer and plan that network infrastructure
for KwikLink’s current needs and assess its requirements for future development.
In this way, the solutions were designed to offer the required services
to KwikLink’s customers while minimizing the overall costs of this infrastructure
to the company. As it is critical that this system be available to customers
at any time they wish to use it, Liberated Networks provides 24x7x365
network support for the KwikLink network with automated monitoring and
dispatching of detected problems to technicians for immediate response.

| "Other companies concentrate only on technical specifications but LNI considered how real people would use the system. They think about the best way to make people's job easier. And that's important to us!" |
